The man wrote about many things in his journal and nothing is made up. Details are presented as if she was revealing them to you from her own memory/writings. Whenever you encounter something like "I suppose he..." or "He probably...", the words that follow are an opinion or feeling of his.

Today, he does desire that she goes through many bad relationships with crappy guys who will lie and use her as she did to him. He wishes nothing physically harmful. Also, although he'll never know, it is his hope that she remembers him someday and says to herself "I messed up something good."
It's doubtful, but if she ever sees this site then perhaps she'll understand how evil she behaved...how different and real with her he was...and that he deserves an apology. Yet he knows that would be asking her to care, which is something she's proven to be incapable of.
